Nursery nurse
Reports to Nursery manager
Location Nursery-based
Role purpose
To be responsible for providing the highest levels of care for every child in the allocated area. To work individually and as part of a team to ensure that each child is treated as an individual and that their development needs are met on an ongoing basis.
To ensure that the nursery environment promotes and upholds equal opportunity policies through diverse activities and positive language.
Accountabilities
- A positive attitude, encouraging behaviour and with a good understanding of children, making sure that their needs are catered for by being understanding and flexible.
- To communicate daily with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress, discussing any problems and writing a written assessment on a regular basis.
- To follow all Teddies guidelines concerning policy and procedures, including health and safety, working practices and standards of care and development.
